First to appear in our store have been the hand-made teddies and soft toys from Bukowski Design of Sweden. We saw these on our travels about a year ago and we were "blown away" by their quality and the variety being offered. We also loved their sweet, characterful, little faces. I think I have a favourite amongst them and then it keeps changing. A really interesting detail of their creation is that each bear has been based on a real individual known to the designer - Barbara Bukowski. Look inside the the label and you will see a picture of that person. I believe that Maciek in the "Animal Friends" section was based on a stray cat that the people at Bukowski found around their office in Stockholm - I will have to get to the bottom of that one. I think that the dressed teddies would make a really special gift for a Christening or a little bridesmaid and of course the wedding bears are lovely for a bride and groom. The angel bears are a really cute idea for children and adults. Please do check out the gifts section for the ones that are suitable from birth. The bear in the picture is "Little Alina", a honey-coloured bear with very soft, plush fur and a charming twinkle in her eye.
